PRIMARY CONSULTATION
The Governors of Plaistow Hill Infant School and St Budeaux Foundation Junior School are looking to change the current age ranges of both schools.
For Plaistow Hill Infants it is proposed that they will extend their age range to admit Key Stage Two (7-11 year olds). For St Budeaux Foundation Junior it is proposed that the age range will be extended to admit children from Nursery to Key Stage One (2-7 year olds).
The purpose of this proposed plan is to:
- Be in line with other local schools to offer equality of opportunity, thus protecting school numbers
- Offer families more education choice in the local area
- Ensure continuity of curriculum from Age 2 - 11
- Build stronger relationships between school and families
- Ensure the long term sustainability of both schools.
The consultation will close at 8am Monday 30th May 2022. The changes will come into effect from 1st September 2023, following consultation and approval from the Regional Schools Commissioner.
