Curriculum enrichment

 

The children in Badger had a visit from the 'Open Wide Step Inside' oral health team to share with the children the importance of a healthy diet and brushing your teeth.

A visit from the Mental Health Support Team to talk about good physical and mental health.

As part of the NSPCC and Plymouth PANTS week we had a visit from Pantosaurus who helped share some very important messages about keeping safe.

The children in Owl class took part in the 'Learn with the Lords' programme and had an online question and answer session to learn all about the UK Parliament and the role and work of the House of Lords. They got to speak with a real Lord-Lord Hayward OBE which was very exciting!

      

The children attended a virtual event with other schools across the UK where Michael Rosen told some rhyming stories and poetry. The children then read the story ‘Were Going on a Bear Hunt’ with Michael Rosen, copying his actions.

A visit from one of our naval families to talk about their role in the Armed Forces. The children enjoyed all the information, pictures and seeing the medals.
