Uniform

A requirement of the Governors is that children attending the school wear the approved uniform:

In the Nursery we encourage the children to wear a school jumper / cardigan and a white polo shirt + their ordinary home clothes

Boots, Open-toed Sandals  and Fashion Shoes, e.g. those with platforms or high heels are not permitted for Health and Safety reasons. (We expect children to wear socks with their shoes at all times.) 

Training shoes may not be worn as part of the school uniform.

School Baseball caps are available from the Schoolwear Shop and are recommended for wear during the Summer Term.

School Sweatshirts and cardigans are available from The Schoolwear Shop (Mayflower Street) and Trutex School Centre at Sugar Mill (by The Range). School book bags and school P.E bags are available from the school office.

ALL ITEMS OF CLOTHING MUST BE NAMED WITH THE CHILD’S NAME.

JEWELLERY MAY NOT BE WORN IN SCHOOL.Watches may be worn, although we cannot be responsible if a watch is lost or stolen. Hooped and dangled earrings are not suitable for school as ears could be damaged if the earring became caught. Small studs are the only earrings suitable for school and these should be removed if your child is going to be going swimming.

MAKE UP and NAIL VARNISH are not appropriate for school.

Hair Styles

In view of the ongoing problems of head lice, it is recommended that long hair be tied back where possible. Distinctive shaved styles for boys (including those with patterns incorporated) are not appropriate.
