Plaistow (PTFP)

The PTFP was set up in September 2009 as a group to raise funds for the school for items they would not ordinarily be able to afford.

The PTFP has a committee which comprises of a Chair, Treasurer, Secretary and General committee members.  We also have helpers who assist in the events and without whom we could not run all the things we do.

In our first year we held very successful Chirstmas and Summer fairs as well as discos, which raised enough money to buy new gym mats for the hall. The old ones were too heavy for the smaller children to move around, so the new lightweight ones were welcomed.

Since then we have held Summer and Christmas fairs, discos at Halloween, Easter and End of Term, Ladies Nights, a Community Fun Day and Blue Bag collections of unwanted textiles, clothes etc. We also had tea towels and calendars produced with the children's drawings on to raise further funds. The money raised has been used to buy a digital camera for every class, books, lunchtime play equipment, picnic benches, playground markings, water bottles for each pupil and we are currently fundraising to purchase some new ICT equipment for the school hall.

We are currently organising a Ladies Night, which is to be held on Friday 22nd March from 7pm - 10pm.

The PTFP meet on the first Wednesday of every month at 2pm onwards in the Green Room at school

If anyone would like to help, please contact the office for details or just come along to a meeting. Everyone is welcome...and children are always welcome too!

The next meeting is being held on Wednesday 6th February at 2pm. All welcome!
